Chief Dental Officer
Dr. Brian Nový serves as the Chief Dental Officer of the Alliance Dental Center. He served on the ADA Council of Scientific Affairs, as chair of the CAMBRA Coalition, and in 2016 was appointed the consumer representative on the United States Food & Drug Administration’s Dental Products Panel. He received the Dugoni Award for “Outstanding contributions to dental education” and holds faculty appointments at Harvard School of Dental Medicine, Western University, and Loma Linda University School of Dentistry. He co-created the American Dental Association’s Caries Classification System, and has published papers in the Journal of Dental Research, the Journal of Evidence Based Dental Practice, the Journal of the American Dental Association, the Journal of the California Dental, and Decisions in Dentistry. His private practice was the first-ever recipient of the American Dental Association’s award, “Adult Preventive Care Practice of the Year.”
